【Typhoon No.19】Delivered Winter Clothing and Underwear
On October 17, 2019, the joint emergency assistance team (CF/PWJ/A-PAD Japan) in Nagano Prefecture distributed clothing items including fleece and down jackets and underwear to several evacuation centers in Obuse-machi and Nagano-shi.
Many areas in Nagano Prefecture are experiencing cold weather as the temperature is dropping below 10 degrees Celsius in the morning and at night. While there is no end in sight to the evacuation, the team procured 5,600 winter clothing items through the Social Emergency Management Alliance (SEMA), a private sector network for emergency response, and delivered them to people in need.
