【Noto Peninsula Earthquake】 Team Rescues a Survivor
The day after the deadly earthquake the emergency team responded to a request from the local fire department to conduct a search-and-rescue (SAR) operation.
Following a report on a person trapped under a collapsed house, the SAR team found a 78 year-old woman stuck between house pillars and furniture, unable to move. The emergency team doctor performed a triage before transporting her to a hospital for further care.
The team will continue searching for survivors.
As Injured people were flooding into Suzu General Hospital, the team set up a mobile clinic at an evacuation center to direct non-emergency patients from the hospital.
“I was worried that I cannot take my regular medications.”
“My condition is worsening under evacuation.” The medical team was able to prescribe medications and treat the evacuees living with uncertainty and fear.
