【Noto Peninsula Earthquake】 Relief Items Available on GoodLinks
As of 3:30PM local time on January 2, 2024, 48 people are reported dead according to Ishikawa Prefecture. Casualties have been also reported in the surrounding prefectures - Niigata, Fuku, Toyama, and Gifu.
Frequent aftershocks are still felt causing power and water outages and fires, and it is expected to further expand.
On the morning of January 2, the emergency team was dispatched to Ishikawa Prefecture to conduct needs assessments. The team also began providing assistance to a hospital in Suzu City.
Suzu City was hit by a magnitude 6 earthquake back in May 2023 and the emergency team provided emergency assistance then. The team was able to contact the local authority.

Civic Force will provide relief items through Good Links - an online platform to connect aid organizations in need of goods and services with partner companies donating their goods and services. Aid organizations can register and apply through March 31, 2024.
