Trailer Offices Leased & Installed at Two Hospitals in Kyushu
On April 23, Airborne Rescue & Relief Operations With Search (ARROWS), comprised of Civic Force and partner organizations, leased and installed a trailer office at Yonemori Hospital in Kagoshima.
While there is no end in sight for COVID-19, hospitals are forced to come up with prevention measures to avoid cluster infections and collapse of health care systems. It is crucial to identify and isolate infected patients as soon as possible in order to avoid further spread of the virus. Triage posts are one way for hospitals to prevent possible infections. At triage posts, hospitals can determine what kind of treatments and isolation measures need to be taken.
ARROWS began providing and installing trailer offices and tents to be used as triage posts at hospitals with disaster assistance agreements. Those trailer offices and tents were reserved in case of disasters. ARROWS set up trailer offices and tents outside hospital buildings to separate suspected patients from others and to avoid cluster infections inside the hospitals.
- Hiroshima Kyouritsu Hospital (1 air tent)
- Saga University Hospital (2 trailer offices; 1 air purifier, portable X-rays)
- Shiroishi Kyouritsu Hospital (2 emergency tents)
- Yodogawa Christian Hospital (1 trailer office)
